Abdul Hadi is an immense talent with a bright future ahead of him that could one day see him playing on the international stage. The elegant and attacking left-handed batsman boasts are huge skill set with the bat capable of scoring runs all around the ground and taking on any type of bowling. He bats with great confidence, always taking the attack to the bowlers. He plays spin very well and isn't afraid of taking them on as he has the abilities to clear any boundary. Against pace, he is poised and confident batting with a mix of caution and aggression. Usually seen taking the gloves, it is not hard to see why as he has an excellent pair of hands and agility.
Abdul Hadi's talent was evident when he made his First Class debut at just 14 years old for Kunduz Province. In his second match, still at just 14 years old, he recorded his maiden First Class century with a brilliant innings of 115*. His side would go on to make the Mirwais Nika 3-Day Provincial final, where in the first innings Abdul Hadi scored a well-played 73 to help put his team in a strong position. Serious achievements for a 14 year old in his debut season.
Abdul Hadi was selected to represent Afghanistan U19 at the 2022 U19 World Cup in the West Indies where he played a number of vital knocks for the team.
In 2024, Abdul Hadi's achievements and talent didn't go unnoticed as he was selected to represent the Afghanistan A squad ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka. Despite only playing one match he scored a well played 45. Later that year, he was selected as part of the Boost Defenders side for the Shpageeza T20 Tournament where once again he produced vital match winning performances.
Abdul Hadi is clearly an outstanding talent that is destined for greatness. Despite being just 19 years old he has already competed in 39 professional matches which is testament to his talent. It is only a matter of time until we see his name on the international stage.
Now seeking to broaden his horizons, Abdul Hadi has his sights on the UK. A player of his calibre would make a huge impact at any club to bolster the batting attack and guarantee heaps of runs.
