Andrew is a highly skilled and extensively experienced cricketer renowned for his versatility. Predominantly a bowling all-rounder, he is a versatile bowler capable of bowling at any stages in the game and can often be seen opening the bowling or bowling first change. Andrew's bowling prowess lies in his ability to maintain both good pace and accuracy, coupled with his ability to move the ball both ways, posing a formidable challenge to opposition batsmen. His exceptional fitness enables him to bowl long spells. With the bat, he is a reliable lower middle order batsman that can be trusted with the role of building partnerships while also having the ability to take the attack to the bowlers when needed.
Andrew's professional journey begun in 2015 when he made his First Class debut for Northerns and impressed immediately by taking 6 wickets. Despite limited opportunities in 2016, which then led to a 3 year hiatus from First Class cricket, Andrew persisted and carried on working hard at club level and honing his skills. All the hard work paid off and he was given an opportunity at the Knights. After a brief stint at the Knights he joined Northern Cape.
He excelled during the 2022/23 season for Northern Cape where he secured 14 wickets at an average of 16.50 in four matches and displayed a commendable batting average of 28. These significant contributions played a key role in helping Northern Cape triumph in the CSA Division Two 4-Day Series. He currently plays for Easterns.
In 2024, Andrew signed for Knowle CC in the West of England Premier League. In his debut season as an overseas pro he excelled taking 48 wickets at an average of 13.54 making him the club's leading wicket taker. He also scored 521 runs at an average of 28.94 in all competitions.
Andrew has a friendly and bubbly personality making it easy for him to fit in well at any club he joins. A great cricketer to have on your team but an even better bloke to have in the changing room.
