About

Colin Archibald

Colin is an immensely talented all round cricketer. Predominately a bowling all-rounder, Colin can usually be seen taking the new ball or bowling first change. With the ball in hand, he bowls to good pace, skill, consistency and aggression. He is often relied upon to take early wickets, restrict runs at the death and make crucial breakthroughs of which he does frequently. With the bat, he has a sound technique which gives him the ability to anchor an innings and build partnerships in the middle and lower order. However, he is better known for his aggressive batting style and big-hitting abilities. He doesn't shy away from taking the bowlers on and backs himself (with good reason) to clear any size boundary.

Colin's professional career started later than others but his talent was always evident having represented the Leeward Islands age group teams. He made his First Class debut for Leeward Islands in 2020. Since the start of his career he has consistently produced noteworthy accomplishments and performances.

In 2020 and 2021, he was drafted into Caribbean Premier League (CPL) side St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

After showcasing his ability with both bat and ball and given his threat as a left arm quick, Colin was selected to represent West Indies A in 2022 during their clash against Bangladesh A where he picked up 3 wickets in the match. He was also selected to play a warm up match against England during their tour of the West Indies where he claimed the wickets of Ben Stokes and Dan Lawrence.

Ahead of the 2023 UK season, Colin signed for Seaham Park CC in the North East Premier League. During the season he picked up 29 wickets at an average of 20.41 and scored 189 runs. In 2024, he joined Northern Ireland side CSNI CC in the Northern Cricket Union Premier League. He had a better season with the bat scoring 268 runs with an average of 20.62 and a strike rate of 144 whilst picking up 17 wickets.

Seeking a return to the UK in 2025, a player of his all-round ability would make him a ferocious bowling asset and valuable aggressive middle order batsman to any club looking for a player that can be relied upon to contribute well with both bat and ball.
