Luke is a talented and determined cricketer. Predominately a bowler growing up, he has started to work on improving his batting which has paid off as he can now be identified as a bowling all-rounder capable of doing a job with the ball and with the bat lower down the order.
Luke can typically be seen opening the bowling or bowling first change. He bowls with decent pace but his strength and majority of wickets comes from his strong in-swinging delivery leading to many wickets by way of LBW or bowled. To add to his arsenal and compliment his in-swinger he has started developing an away-swinging delivery to set batsmen up and increase his wicket-taking chances. Usually a pinch hitter and attacking batsman lower down the order, Luke, more recently, has worked on his batting to be able to bat for longer periods in order to have the skills to move up the batting order and play an anchoring role when needed. Despite this improvement he still holds onto his attacking nature and now has a good balance between attacking and conservative batting ability.
Luke attended St Peters College School where he played in the 1st XI. During this time he had some notable achievements namely the Maegraith Cricket Trophy 2021 for Best bowling performance of the year. Luke currently plays A grade cricket for St Peters Old Collegians CC in the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association.
Luke holds the necessary coaching qualifications and DBS equivalent qualifications to coach young players and has two years of coaching experience at his former school.
Luke is seeking his first season in the UK and would be a great addition to any club seeking a talented and hard-working cricketer that would have a great impact on and off the field.
