Nisar is a highly skilled bowling all-rounder. Standing tall and strong, he bowls with impressive pace and has the ability to swing the ball both ways, but claims most of his victims with his big in-swinging delivery. At the crease, Nisar is a dependable middle-order batsman with an aggressive style, unafraid to take on any bowler, and capable of hitting the ball a long way.
Despite hailing from Pakistan, Nisar made his First Class debut for Sri Lankan domestic team, Police Sports Club, in 2020, where he claimed two wickets and scored his maiden First Class half-century. With only three matches played that season, he took an impressive 17 wickets at an average of 18.29.
Since returning to Pakistan, Nisar has played for Central Punjab, Lahore Blues, and State Bank of Pakistan. He has enjoyed recent success at First Class level having taken 17 wickets at an average of 25.58 in just four matches. Currently, he is demonstrating his skills as a highly effective T20 bowler in the National T20 Cup and in his maiden T20 season, he claimed 17 wickets in eight matches with an average of 10.58 and a strike rate of 9.23, making him the sixth highest wicket-taker in the tournament and the leading wicket-taker for Lahore Region Blues.
Furthermore, Nisar boasts two years of UK experience, having played for East Bierley CC in the Bradford Premier League in 2022 and 2023. In his debut season, he claimed 54 wickets at an average of 14.00 and scored 278 runs with an average of 16.35, ranking him as the third highest wicket-taker in the league. East Bierley CC re-signed Nisar for the 2023 season, where he took 66 wickets at an average of 14.89 and scored 538 runs with an average of 25.62.
Nisar's cricketing talent has improved with age, and he still has much more to offer. He would be a valuable addition to any club seeking a fast opening bowler and aggressive middle-order batsman with a proven UK record, capable of leading their team to victories in 2024.
