Rishika is a talented up and coming cricketer with a lot of potential still to show. He is a competent top order batsman. Typically seen opening the batting, he is capable of applying himself at the crease to get his team off to a strong start. He faces both spin and pace with ease, utilising his strengths to his advantage. He is currently the first choice wicket-keeper for Panadura which comes at no surpise given his extremely safe pair of hands and lightning fast reactions.
Rishika comes from from a strong cricketing background as during his school years he attended one of Sri Lanka's most prestigious cricketing schools, St Peter's College.
He made his First Class and List A debut for Panadura in 2022. He is now lined up to be the vice-captain of Panadura for the upcoming season where he hopes to lead by example and showcase the potential that his teammates and coaches know he has.
Looking to further develop his skills and gain additional experience, Rishika is now looking towards to the UK. Despite being in the infancy stage of his professional career, it is clear that Rishika is a talented cricketer with heaps of potential and backing from the Panadura coaching staff. He would make for a great pick up for a club looking for a talented opening batsman or wicket-keeper.
