About

Sahil Dias

Sahil is a talented allrounder that exhibits huge potential to become a well-established domestic cricketer. He possesses great skill with both bat and ball that has the makings to become a top all-rounder. Often seen batting at the top of the order he bats with great resilience, often making it difficult for opposition bowlers to get him out. At the crease, he is confident in his abilities which allows him to score freely against any bowling attack. Whilst bowling opportunities are scarce at the moment, he is a talented and useful leg spinner and has bowled a little in a few First Class matches and for the Sri Lanka Emerging team during their matches.

Sahil comes from a strong cricketing upbringing as he attended one of Sri Lanka's most prestigious cricketing schools, Wesley College. There, he was trained by top coaches and played alongside and against some of the country's best school cricketers.

Sahil made his debut in all three formats in 2022. Whilst still in the infancy stage of his professional career, it is evident that he is on the Sri Lankan staff's radar who see great potential in him which is what has led to his selection to be part of the Sri Lanka Emerging squad.

Always looking to develop and embrace new challenges, Sahil is now seeking his maiden season in the UK. He is no doubt a great option for a club looking for a talented up and coming all-rounder that is capable of contributing with both bat and ball. His abilities with the bat would undoubtedly bolster and provide additional stability to the batting lineup and his leg spin would make for a handy and different option to the bowling attack, enough to trouble most club batters.
