About

Shubham Khajuria

Shubham is an extremely experienced and talented cricketer. He is an aggressive batsman that enjoys taking the attack to the bowlers. He possesses a wide variety of shots allowing him to score freely around the ground against any bowling attack. With the ball in hand he offers useful off spinners and can be relied upon to hold down an end and take break-through wickets.

Shubham displayed huge potential as a junior playing age group cricket for Jammu & Kashmir. Due to his huge talent is a youngster he made his First Class debut at just 16 years old. Due to this it came as no surprise that he was selected to represent India U19 in 2013. Testiment to his consistent performances year on year, Shubham is always one of the first names on the teamsheet for Jammu & Kashmir in all formats.

In 2018, Shubham embarked on his maiden season to the UK playing for Oswaldtwistle Immanuel CC and what a season he had! He scored 1858 runs at an average of 84.45 as well as taking 55 wickets at an average of 15.78. Included in these stats, Shubham hit 101 sixes, scored 200+ in an innings three times and broke two league records, the first when he achieved the highest individual score in the Ribblesdale Cricket League where he scored 229 off 115 balls and the second while playing as a sub-pro for Furness CC and broke the Cumbria Cricket League record for the highest individual score where he scored 261 off 152 balls.

Shubham returned to the UK in 2023 where he played for Westhoughton CC in the Greater Manchester Cricket League. Despite only playing half a season he still scored 607 runs at an average of 75.88 with a high score of 212 and took 15 wickets.

Shubham is seeking a third stint in the UK and given his record in the UK he will be a well sought after player. With his aggressive batting style, impressive run scoring ability as well as his ability to contribute with the ball, he would make for a fantastic signing for any club.
